SMMT wants SMMT Data Intelligence to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technologies.
Our approach
The site is being designed with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA in mind. Current work includes semantic headings, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus states, responsive layouts, text alternatives for meaningful images and colour combinations intended to provide sufficient contrast.
Current status
This is an early local build and has not yet undergone a formal accessibility audit, so no conformance claim is made. Accessibility testing should be completed before public launch and repeated when major content or functionality changes.
